I can not believe that I have not blogged since september!!!
where did the time go????
things have been crazy but, Oh well isnt it always ,,, for everyone???
we are in the new house and there has been so much to do, just got the kitchen set up and , spilled bannana bread dough in the BRAND new oven !!!!! talk about curses!!
oh well, spent about 3 hours cleaning it up today.
The bread was really good though!! Ha!!
it is so nice to be in our new home, it is not new, just new to us.
it is just the right size, one bedroom with a , study for Hubby and a studio for me. , ( the study does double duty , guest room also.)
I am looking forward to spending time with my Father and sisters in AZ, next month!!
I miss them so much!!

a surprise gift

Princess Buttercup's new bed
I made this liner for my daughters kitty bed, she is such a pretty kitty I will try to get a picture of her in it to show you. I used two different tshirts, ( recycled!) my daughters fav color.

This is my page for the breast cancer awareness book. I put my parents picture on the front because they have shown me so much courage, in the face of their illness. It is incredibly hard to explain the the pain of cancer on all of our lives, i do not know anyone who has not been affected.

Close to the wire
Well it is getting close to the wire, moving day that is.
everything is in boxes and my creativity is on hold ,it will be at least a couple of weeks till I will be able to unpack and make something, can't wait!
I will miss Rocky Point so much , I hoped to live here always. but life is always throwing a new curve and I must bend with it!
I will post some pictures of RP soon and you will see how much I love its rustic charm.

We are packing alot! We have only lived here 13 yrs but it seems a lot longer!

Going Fast
Well,
It happened.... The house is in attorney review. if all goes well we will be out of our house the
end of July! it all happened so fast!!
The couple who are buying are so young, I am so glad. We have lived here for 13 yrs and have been so happy here, I hope they will be happy here too.
I will have to stop some of my swaps and be somewhat in the shadows for awhile as I have soo much to pack!!
any way, It is a new and exciting time for me and the sweet ole Man!

Not Good
This is not good........ I have not posted in so long.
Things are changing very quickly and I am not keeping up!
We had an offer on our house and The decision to counter offer is pretty vexing.
Really i do not want to sell at all but I know it is for the best. so I will adapt as I always have !
On another note, The yard looks great! all of the flowers are blooming and While it is not alot, It is still pretty. We had a "consolidated Birthday party" , (5 in our family have birthdays within 20 days) so we just have 1 party! It is a lot of fun!
Here is a picture of my grandchildren in the backyard. They are my joy and delight!
They sent the day looking for and catching catapillers.

Photos
I tried, and I will!!!! .... keep trying, photos are not my strong point.
I remember, I used to take shots of feet, and the sky, and then everyone told me Stop! .... and now here we go again . I hope the photo god will smile upon me and my good intentions and Presto MagicO... POOF! an award winning photo will appear!!!
At christmas I was in a swap with "Barneys Blue" She takes such beautiful pictures, what a talent!
I am needed in the kitchen, Bill is cooking supper..

Working on this
I have posted my quilt patterns.
If any one is interested in purchasing, let me know.
I would be happy to teach any of these patterns at your guild or store.
Now for the fun, I hosted my nieces daughter's "Flat Stanley" for a week it was a lot of fun, when I could Remember!!!! Seriously, I wish i could have been a better host, Lauren is such a sweet young lady and so talented, her art work is fabulous! Stan is on his way home !!
Trying to get some samples ready for a class next month, and what started out as a good idea is ..... well not. so I will try the other idea! I was doing a texture thing on a vintage tablecloth , and, nope... not good.
I wonder if anyone else does this, wake up, kinda at 4ish, and start designing something new, then go back to sleep and FORGET IT!!!! I keep telling myself to get up and write it down!!

Well I did it again
Well --foot! Funny, thats what my Grandmother used to say when she goofed!
I was writing this post and Poof! it dissappeared!
Any way I have a favorite Blogger, Her name is Calamity Kim.
As soon as I learn how to do it!!
We had a wonderful and busy Easter. Had the kids over on Saturday, hid eggs and ate
too mush. Then we went to my sister-in-laws and had another holiday meal with my mother-in-law and family! I am very blessed with wonderful daughters and great sons-in-law!
My great niece sent me a flat Stanley and we took him with us the NY yesterday

Wow -!
I can hardly believe it is already March 3rd!
Seems like the clock is jumping ahead by days instead of seconds.
I posted some pictures on my flicker page and I don't know if it is because I don't feel well or because I know I am such a bad photographer, but I am not fond of them. the picture of the page for the swap I am in is not to clear and the color is brighter than real life!
Oh well, at least I tried!
I went to my friends babys christening on Saturday, it was so sweet!
He is so beautiful!! I made a quilt and tote bag for him and his Mama loved it!
I love to make quilts for babys, Just to know they are warm in them is a very gratifing feeling.
Gonna go lay down now,hope this goes away!

Miss them!!
I miss my sisters and niece so much!!
They just called me and I was feeling like I was right there with them.
We are from a very creative family for generations back !
Our Grandmothers ,both sides , were always creating beautiful clothes and home furnishings.
We used to make all our clothes and curtians!! Now it is usually less expensive to buy ready-made! BUT!!!! I will not !! I have found , like Grandma Hazel I can buy something and change it to suit me!! She used to go to Goodwill,(she called it Nieman Marcus), buy some item made from a beautiful fabric and take it apart to make something fabulous!!! and this was when my mother was a little girl during the depression!! So now the family genes have come full circle, and my niece is doing a challange , using recycled materials.
Life is WONDERFUL!!!!
or should I say--- IT"S A Wonderful life!!!!
Any way, I have such a wonderful family!!

Ok, I will try this again!!

I have got the copies of my itty bitty rbbpages , and now i am ready to embellish!
I will (TRY) to do some posting and not get to discouraged when i fail. I have read some very nice blogs and am hopeful to learn some new skills in blogland!!
better get busy embellishing!
